A US Sherman Tank M4A3 (76) and an 88 mm Pak gun are placed in the garden in front of the castle of Clervaux. This U.S. Sherman Tank
of Company B, 2nd Tank Batallion,
9th Armored Division,
is the only known surviving
Combat vehicle of the Division
put out of action on December 17, 1944,
while the 9th Armored Division was defending Clervaux.
On the picture you can see 9th Armored Veteran Carl L. Shell, me and my dad, I visited the monument with Carl during his first trip to Europe on June 22, 2011.
